Last updated: February 23, 2026 | Effective for all users in all United States jurisdictions.

Start My Business Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates My Trust Software (the "Platform"), accessible at mytrustsoftware.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our trust creation and management services, or use our Concierge Attorney Matching service.

This policy applies to all users across all fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, and all U.S. territories. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the trust creation and management Platform
  • Generate trust documents, certificates, and related legal forms
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send compliance calendar reminders and important notifications
  • Track your progress through training modules

3. Concierge Attorney Matching Data

When you use our Concierge Attorney Matching service, we share limited information with potential attorneys to determine their interest and availability. Here is what we share and when:

Before Attorney Confirms Interest

We share only general, non-identifying information with prospective attorneys: your state of residence, the type of trust or legal service needed, your general situation (e.g., "client receives SSI and needs an irrevocable Special Needs Trust"), and whether you are a pre-qualified, ready-to-pay client. We do NOT share your name, email, phone number, or other personally identifying details at this stage.

After Attorney Confirms Interest and You Approve

Only after an attorney confirms interest in taking your case AND you review and approve the attorney match do we share your contact information with the attorney. At that point, the attorney-client relationship forms directly between you and the attorney. The attorney's handling of your personal information is subject to the attorney's own privacy practices and attorney-client privilege -- not this Privacy Policy.

Attorney Information We Share With You

When we present a potential attorney match, we share the attorney's name, firm name, state bar number, practice areas, quoted fee, and contact information. This information is sourced from publicly available bar association directories and the attorney's own representations.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our self-hosted infrastructure located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive trust data stored in our database
  • Row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own trust data
  • Authentication through Clerk with secure session management
  • Regular security audits and monitoring through Uptime Kuma

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

  • Clerk: Authentication and user management (processes login data)
  • Gumroad: Payment processing (processes payment and transaction data)
  • Cloudflare: DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection (processes connection data)

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their respective policies for details on how they handle your data.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our Platform uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics solution that does not use cookies and does not track users across websites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Opt-Out: Opt out of marketing communications at any time

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Trust documents and related data are retained for the duration of your subscription plus seven (7) years to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to applicable legal retention obligations.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

10. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. This policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws in all fifty (50) United States, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA).
